A refractometer measures the refractive index of a substance. Refractive index is one of the characteristic properties of a material, and because it varies with density, it can be used to measure concentration and °Brix.
PRM-85 On-line Refractometer
The PRM-85 is the ultimate in-line refractometer with Atago's updated cutting-edge technology. Concentration (%), water contents (%) or mixing ratio of various solutions can be controlled continuously by installing this refractometer on the piping used in the manufacturing plants of food, medicine, and for liquid supply devices of various industries.
Features
- Continuous measurement of refractive index (nD), °Brix, or the concentration (%) of liquid flowing through a pipe.
- With automatic temperature compensation according to the sample liquid, correct concentration or °Brix is always displayed.
- An alarm output is provided so that if the measured value exceeds high and low control limits, an alarm is raised.
- Liquid can be controlled on a real-time basis.
- A wide range of concentrations can be measured.
- The detection section is equipped with air cooling fins, allowing measurement of sample liquids with temperatures up to 100 °C.
- Measurement is not influenced by coloration, muddiness, viscosity or pressure
CM-780 On-line Refractometer
This refractometer is a compact in-line model which can be incorporated in piping of manufacturing plants, or a liquid mixing apparatus, or a washing apparatus to continuously measure concentration or °Brix
