PLC System Design

Over the years B-R Controls has dealt with many brands and types of PLCs. Most of our engineers have been involved in industrial process automation for most of their professional lives and amongst them they have knowledge of an impressive range of new and older PLCs.

Rockwell Automation

B-R Controls has acheived the status of Authorised Rockwell Automation (Allen-Bradley) Systems Integrator (RASI). Customers can feel confident in choosing an Authorised Rockwell SI because each one must possess high corporate standards, financial stability, and compentency in Rockwell automation technology.

We also have significant experience with these vendors:

Schneider Electric

Siemens

GE Fanuc

Today's PLC offer a multitude of communication options to provide for a more cost effective installation by allowing small clusters of I/O to be located as close as possible to the plant area. The times where junction boxes were scattered around the plant and multi-core cables connected signals to a PLC panel with a remote I/O system are gone. A properly designed bus system allows distributed I/O from various plant areas to be connected to the PLC on a single pair of wires.

B-R Controls has significant experience with Bus systems like ControlNet, DeviceNet, ASi, and CAN, and also with Ethernet-connected I/O.
